Established in 1950, the Salamon gallery is managed today by the third generation of its founding family; for almost 70 years it has been a reference point for collectors and enthusiasts of old master paintings.
The paintings are carefully selected and chosen according to requirements of autography, quality, provenance and state of conservation. The gallery assists its clients not only in acquisitions and sales, but also in the evaluation of treatments aimed at the conservation and valorisation not only of single works of art but also of whole collections.
The gallery wants to be a meeting point where enthusiasts and scholars can exchange their views: for this purpose, the library (its index is online), one of Italy’s richest and most up-to-date private libraries, is at the disposal of collectors, scholars and antique dealers (by appointment only) for consultation onsite.
The exhibition halls and the library are located in the piano nobile of the historic Palazzo Cicogna, in the heart of Milan, and are the ideal place to view the paintings displayed in a calm and discreet environment. In order to properly welcome the clients we prefer to receive by appointment.
