Description:This "Male Figure" is iconographically close to Annibale Carracci's style, and we should not forget Battistello was in Rome between 1613 and 1615.
Marina Causa Picone ("Battistello frescante nel Palazzo Reale di Napoli", in "Paragone", January 1987, n. 1 443) attribuited to Battistello a "Study" which is in Malta, National Museum, and she agrees this sheet is very close to ours.
